I am currently taking undergraduate students with an interest in behavior, conservation, birds, or who just think this kind of work sounds neat. You do not need any prior experience- we can teach skills but we can't teach enthusiasm. A genuine interest in the work we do is the main qualification of our lab members! Besides interest, I am looking for people who:
1. Enjoy being outside and are comfortable with hiking, if you want to do fieldwork
2. Love animals and nature
3. Are patient, kind, and want to help their fellow lab members succeed
4. Are a biology, environmental studies/science, or neuroscience major. Other majors are welcome, but there must be some sort of way working with us will help you with your career goals. 

Wilkes University does not have a graduate program, so I cannot take graduate students. However, if you are interested in working with me as an external collaborator or committee member I am happy to discuss- feel free to reach out via email!

I do not have funding to support postdocs, and although I would love to work with you on a fellowship, we do not have many resources to support your professional development. However, I am open to discussing, especially if you don't plan to go the R1 route. 

Please feel free to get in touch with me if there is anything you are interested in doing to support our work, such as hosting an owl box, giving us tips on where you've seen screech-owls, or if you want to make any kind of donation. We would also be delighted to come talk to groups such as schools or clubs about our work.
